Getting started

Install from the Maestro Collections Scheduler listing, then open the app in the Shopify admin.

1. Choose a plan

The app asks you to pick a plan before the rest of the screens are useful. The menu stays available while that choice is open.

  • Demo is the free plan: automate collection changes, batch scheduling, and basic actions, with standard live chat.
  • Advanced is $4.99 a month, or $50 a year (save 16%), with a 3-day free trial. It adds unlimited collection scheduling, priority reordering, bulk updates, the scheduling timeline, advanced SEO scheduling, and priority live chat.

The plan name shows on Schedules. The plan chip in the app opens the plan list if you need to change it later.

2. Open Schedule Collections

In the app menu, open Schedule Collections. Creating a schedule from Schedules or Get Started lands on this list as well.

Pick the change you want. The groups match the work the app can do on a collection: sale channels, template suffix, the collection image, title and description, collection sort, metafields, deleting a collection, and the collection's search listing.

3. Name it and choose the collections

On Create Collection Schedule:

  1. Enter a Title. This is required.
  2. Add a Note if you want one. It is optional and is only for you.
  3. Choose Select Collections and pick one or more collections. View Selection shows what you picked.
  4. Reordering products is the exception: select a single collection. With more than one selected, that action stays disabled.

4. Set the change and the time

  1. Select Action if the screen did not already choose one, and fill in that action. A title needs the new title. A sort needs Sort by. A channel needs Select a channel.
  2. Set Schedule date. Time now is the store's clock, not the clock on your computer. Use that when the store is in another timezone.
  3. Optional: turn on Make this a recurring schedule. Set Repeat frequency to Daily, Weekly, Bi-Weekly, or Monthly, and set Number of occurrences. On the free plan this can ask you to move to Advanced. Deleting a collection has no repeat control.
  4. Save. The app confirms the schedule was saved. Open Schedules and you should see it.

A date in the past runs immediately. The screen warns you before you rely on a future time.

The other way in

New Automation opens Collection Automations. Pick a change there and the form is the one on the listing:

  1. Automation Details. Automation Name is required. Description is optional.
  2. Collections Selection. Select collections.
  3. Configure Collection Edits. Set Schedule date, the fields for the change, and repeat if you need it. Add modification stacks another change on the same automation, each with its own time.
  4. Create automation. A confirmation appears when it is saved.

Opening a collection schedule from Schedules brings you back to this same screen.

Check the storefront

When the time has passed, open the collection in Shopify admin and on the storefront. A saved schedule is not the same thing as a collection a shopper can already see. If the row says Failed, use troubleshooting.
