Schedule a collection change
These steps use the labels in the app. Start from Schedule Collections or from New Automation. Both end on a form where you name the schedule, pick collections, set the change, and set Schedule date.
Time now under the date is the store's clock. Match your date to that, not to your laptop, when they differ.
Add modification (on the automation form) adds another change to the same schedule, with its own time. Use it when a sale should start and then end: one edit puts the sale title on, a later edit puts the everyday title back.
Sort the products
- Choose Update collection sort.
- Select the collections.
- Under Sort by, pick one of: Best selling, Product title A-Z, Product title Z-A, Highest price, Lowest price, Newest, Oldest, or Manually.
- Set Schedule date and save.
Manual sort only switches the collection to manual order. To place specific products, use Reorder collection products instead.
Put products in an order
- Choose Reorder collection products.
- Select one collection. The action stays disabled while more than one collection is selected.
- Drag products into the order you want. Save Order on that list, then save the schedule.
- This is an Advanced action. On the free plan the app asks you to switch before it will save.
After the change has run, the order is shown and cannot be edited. Duplicate the schedule if you need a new order later.
Title and description
- Choose Update title or Update Description.
- Enter the new title, or the new description.
- A title cannot be blank. A description can. Leave the description empty when the later change should take sale copy off the collection.
- Set the time and save.
To run both, add a second modification rather than a second schedule, if you are on the automation form.
Search title and search description
- Choose Update collection SEO.
- Fill in SEO Title, SEO Description, or both. One of them is required. The fields suggest about 50–60 characters for the title and 150–160 for the description.
- Set the time and save.
Advanced on the listing includes advanced SEO scheduling. The same two fields are what the form saves.
Collection image
- Choose Update Featured Image.
- Add the image that should become the collection's featured image.
- Set the time and save.
This replaces the image on the collection. It does not replace photos on the products in that collection. Product photos are a Product Scheduler change, and this app does not offer that.
Sales channels
- Choose Include in sale channel or Exclude from sale channel.
- Select a channel. If the list is empty, the store has no channel the app can target yet.
- Set the time and save.
Including publishes the collection to that channel. Excluding takes it off. These are Advanced actions. On the free plan the app can ask you to switch plans first.
The collection has to be allowed on that channel in Shopify as well. A schedule cannot publish a collection to a channel the shop itself cannot use.
Template suffix
- Choose Change template suffix.
- Select suffix from the collection templates on the current theme. (none) leaves the default template.
- Set the time and save.
The suffix only swaps which template the collection page uses. It does not create a template. If the list is empty, the theme has no extra collection templates.
Metafields
Update metafields is marked beta. Pick the collection field, enter the value, and set the time. Dates, JSON, languages, and references can be scheduled, as well as text and numbers. Only schedule a field your theme or another app already reads.
Delete a collection
Delete collection removes that collection from the shop. It cannot be undone, and it does not repeat. There is no reverse. Use it only when the collection should be gone, not merely hidden. To hide a collection for a weekend, exclude it from the sales channel instead, and include it again afterward.
Repeat a change
- Turn on Make this a recurring schedule.
- Set Repeat frequency to Daily, Weekly, Bi-Weekly, or Monthly.
- Set Number of occurrences. That is how many times the change runs, not how many collections it touches.
On the free plan the repeat control can show an Advanced badge and open the plan list. Deleting a collection has no repeat control.
Stop recurring on a schedule that should not run again. Stopping does not undo a change that already ran.
After you save
Open Schedules. A row can be Scheduled, Pending, Processing, Recurring, Completed, Failed, Skipped, Stopped, or Canceled.
From the row you can:
- Open it to read or, if it has not started, change it.
- Duplicate it. Dates that were already in the past move to about an hour ahead.
- Run it now, if you do not want to wait. Running it now cannot be undone.
- Cancel or stop a change that has not finished.
- Archive it when you are done with it.
You cannot edit a change that has already started. Duplicate it and fix the copy.
Share the id shown on the schedule if you write to support. It looks like a short number on the schedule, and it is the fastest way to point at the right one.
