FAQ

What does Rankify change?

The order of products inside collections you attach to a strategy. Other collections stay as they are. Rankify does not re-rank Shopify search results.

What can a strategy sort by?

Sales units, sales revenue, order count, inventory, sold-out, variant availability, sizes in stock, price, margin, vendor, product type, dates, and custom number or date fields you turn on. You can sort by rules in order, or score several rules with weights. A tag is a condition on the collection (which products belong), not a sort rule.

How do I push sold-out products down?

Under Ranking, turn on Push sold-out to bottom when that switch is shown. If the page says the strategy handles it, use the stock steps. That wins over the score.

Can I pin or hide one product?

Yes. Pin it to the top for a set number of days, or with no expiry. Exclude it to hide it. A product that is both pinned and excluded is excluded.

How do variant options work?

Option Sorting reorders existing values on a product option, such as Size, so they read in a size run instead of alphabetically. Sizes In Stock % changes which products lead the collection, including as a tie-breaker when two scores match. Variant options.

Can I sort by a custom product field?

Yes, after you enable it under Metafield Configuration. Numbers and dates can set the order. Any type can filter which products belong. Shopify does not have to offer the field as a storefront filter. Custom fields.

Can I compare two strategies?

Yes, when A/B Tests is in the menu. Pick a collection and two strategies (or one strategy against sorting turned off). The collection alternates on the interval you set, and you choose the winner. Compare two strategies.

When does the storefront change?

After the sort finishes. Manage Collections shows Pending or Running, then the last run time. Sort Now applies it immediately when that button is on the collection. Otherwise it waits for the auto-update frequency.

Which languages are translated?

The language switcher includes Spanish, French, and German for Rankify's own screens, including numbers, dates, and currency. English remains available.

How much does it cost?

The App Store listing is Basic at $9.50/month or $95/year, Plus at $19/month or $205/year, and Advanced at $49/month or $490/year. Each plan has a 3-day free trial. Basic includes up to 1,000 products, 3 smart collections, standard attribute sorting, and automatic sold-out push down. Plus adds up to 100,000 products, unlimited smart collections, multi-attribute scoring, and a manual force update. Advanced adds unlimited products and collections, dynamic rule reordering, custom weighted metrics, and a dedicated account manager.

Can I sort by a custom field?

Yes, when that field is available as a filter in Shopify. If Shopify cannot filter by it, Rankify cannot sort by it.

Do I have to republish after every order?

No. The strategy keeps the collection current. Use a manual update only when you want the order refreshed now.

The comparison asks me to paste an id.

Do not paste one. Pick the collection and the strategies from the lists.

Sizes are in a random order.

Set the variant option, such as Size, and choose how a tie breaks so a fuller size run can rank higher.

I pinned a product and the rest of the order froze.

The pin holds that product. The strategy still orders the others. Preview again if the rest looks unchanged from an old publish.

A sold-out product is still first.

Push it down in the strategy, or add stock as a signal so sold-out products sink. Then publish again.

Can I stop Rankify from sorting during the day?

Yes. Turn on Only sort during specific times under Settings, Processing schedule, then pick the days and hours. See Limit sorting to quiet hours.

Can I sort by reviews?

Yes, if you use Judge.me, Yotpo or Okendo. Connect it under Settings, Integrations, then add the review field to a strategy.

Is there an API?

Yes, read-only. Generate a token under Settings, API Access. See API access.
