Troubleshooting
The collection order did not change
- On Manage Collections, check the row. Pending and Running mean the sort has not finished. A time means it has.
- Confirm a strategy is attached. Attach a custom sort strategy, or select one under Ranking, then save.
- Auto-update frequency off (under Automation → Auto-update collection) means Rankify will not write a new order on a schedule. Turn it on, or use Sort Now if that button is shown.
- Processing Schedule can skip sorts outside the days and hours you set. Those sorts run on the next allowed interval.
- Open View in storefront after the row shows a last run. A theme that caches the collection page can lag behind the admin list.
Sold-out products are still on top
Under Ranking, turn on Push sold-out to bottom when that switch is shown, and save. If the page says Advanced Strategy Selected, the switch is on the strategy instead: use the Best Sellers template, or add a Sold Out rule with In Stock First. A sales rule alone will keep a sold-out bestseller at the top. A pinned product stays at the top even when it is sold out, until the pin expires or you remove it.
I cannot create another collection
Basic on the listing includes 3 smart collections. Past that, creating another one asks you to change plan. That limit is on collections, not on how many sort rules a strategy can have.
If Add condition is disabled, the plan allows only one condition for which products belong in that collection. Sort rules on the strategy are separate.
A custom field is not in the sort list
- Turn it on under Metafield Configuration and wait until sync is up to date.
- Only number and date fields set the order. Other types are filters (collection Conditions), not sort rules.
- A field that was just enabled does nothing until that sync finishes. Sorting on it before then leaves the order unchanged.
Size order did not change
Option Sorting only reorders values that already exist on that product. It does not create a missing size. Check you saved the right option. Ranking the collection by Sizes In Stock % does not change the Size dropdown.
The comparison has no useful numbers
A/B Tests needs the collection to already be managed, both recipes selected, and time in market. Figures for conversion and add-to-cart stay thin until each recipe has been seen (about 100 sessions). Sorting OFF compares against no Rankify order, not against a second recipe. Stopping the test does not attach the winner. Do that under Ranking.
A product I pinned is missing
If it is also excluded, exclusion wins. Remove it from Excluded, or remove the pin, then save.
The sort failed
Manage Collections shows Failed and a retry control. Retry once. If it fails again, email hello@xco.agency with the shop domain, the collection name, and a screenshot of the row. Setup steps are in Getting started.
Sorting waits until night
Check Settings, Processing schedule. If Only sort during specific times is on, a collection that is due outside the window waits until the window opens. Times use your store's timezone.
The review field is not in the strategy editor
Open Settings, Integrations and check that Judge.me, Yotpo or Okendo shows as connected. Then reload the strategy editor.
