Display the form

Customers file from their account or the order confirmation page. A theme block and a menu link cover everyone else.

Customer account

  1. Open the customer account editor in Shopify.
  2. Add Claimify Portal so a signed-in customer sees their claims and can file a new one.
  3. On the order, add the file-a-claim action. The order is already chosen.
  4. Save.

This is the setup to do even if you also add a public link. Signed-in customers should not have to type an order number.

Order confirmation

Add Claimify on the order confirmation page so a customer can start a return, exchange, or warranty claim after checkout. They are filing a claim. They are not cancelling the order from that block.

Theme block

  1. Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize.
  2. Open the page that should contain the form. A returns or help page works better than the home page.
  3. Add the Claim Form block.
  4. Save the theme.

You do not paste code into the theme. Remove the block in the theme editor to take it down. Claimify's home screen shows whether the block is on the published theme.

  1. In Claimify, open the form and click Open in storefront.
  2. Copy the address.
  3. Go to Online Store > Navigation and add an item such as "Start a return".

Plus can have more than one form. Link "Returns" and "Warranty" separately. Basic has one form, so one link is enough.

Do not embed the form in a frame inside another page. The form needs the full page for photos and the product list. A button that opens the form link is the reliable option.
