Frequently asked questions
Pricing
Is there a free plan?
No. Basic is $4.99 a month for one published job, one custom question, unlimited applications, and no emails. Plus is $9.99 a month (or $90 a year). Business is $89 a month (or $209 a year). Each plan has a 3-day trial. Shopify bills the charge.
What is the difference between Plus and Business?
Plus removes the limit on jobs and custom questions, and adds email, a customizable job page, analytics, and priority support. Business adds employers: other organizations can join the job board, submit jobs for your approval, and use the employer portal.
Can job seekers post that they are looking for work?
No. That is not part of the App Store listing. Business lets other employers submit jobs. It is not a job-seeker marketplace.
Jobs and applications
Where do listings appear?
On your store, in the Workify or Workify Job List section you add in the theme editor. Only published jobs are shown.
How many jobs can I publish?
Basic allows one published job. Plus and Business do not limit published jobs. Drafts are not on the board.
How do I decide on a candidate?
Open the application and set Reviewed, Contacted, Interview, Hired, or Not a fit. Hired is an acceptance. Not a fit is a rejection. Add an internal note if you need one.
Will the applicant get an email?
Not on Basic. Plus and Business can email the applicant when the status changes. Edit the messages in Settings → Emails.
What happens if I delete a job?
You cannot delete a job that already has applications. Close it, mark it hired, or archive it. That keeps the applications and stops new ones.
Approval and forms
When does a job need approval?
Only when an employer submits it on the Business plan. It stays Pending approval until you choose Approve & publish, request changes, or reject it. Jobs you create yourself publish when you say so.
Can I skip the review?
Yes. Settings → Employer Settings can approve a new employer automatically, and can publish or reject a submitted job without a manual review.
Where do I edit questions?
Settings → Forms. The application form is available on every plan. Membership and job submission appear after you turn on Employers. Basic still allows only one custom question on a job.
The employer says they never got the decision.
Check the email on their registration, then send the decision again from the job. Approvals and rejections both send mail.
Can I post a job myself?
Yes. You can create the job in the admin. Approval is for jobs an employer submitted.
I hid a field and it is still on the form.
Save the form, then open the storefront in a private window. A tab you already had open can show the old form.
Can pay be an amount and a period?
Yes. Use the amount and the period instead of one free-text line.
The job is still on the storefront.
Confirm you saved the hired status, then reload the careers page in a private window.
Do applicants get an email when I mark it hired?
The approval and rejection emails go out when you decide on a submission. Marking the role hired takes it off the public list.
Can I show jobs on another page?
Yes. Copy the full or teaser embed code from Jobs Page, or add the Workify Job List block in the theme editor. See Show jobs on any page.
Can I translate the job board?
Plus sets the default storefront language. Business edits every translation under Localization.
Is there an API?
Yes, read-only, on Plus and Business. See API access.
