API access
Theme Scheduler has a read-only API for your own automations. You create the tokens in the app. Nothing outside the app can change your data through it.
What you can read
scheduled-themes: your theme publish schedulespublish-history: past scheduled publishes and how they finished
Every endpoint answers GET requests only. A token can read these resources for your shop and nothing else.
API access is on the Settings page. If the card says your plan does not include it, change plan under Subscription.
Create a token
- In the app, open Settings and then API Access.
- Select Generate Token.
- Give the token a name you will recognise later, for example "Make.com Integration".
- Copy the token when it is shown. It is shown once. If you lose it, revoke it and generate a new one.
A shop can have 3 active tokens at a time. The token list shows when each token was created, when it was last used and how many requests it made.
Use a token
Send the token in the Authorization header of each request. The API Reference on the same page lists the endpoints, pagination and filtering, the response format and the rate limits for your shop.
Common errors:
- No
Authorizationheader: the request has no token. - Token invalid, revoked or expired: generate a new token.
- Resource type not available: the resource is not one of the ones listed above.
- Only GET is supported: the API does not write.
- Too many requests: slow down and retry.
Revoke a token
Open Settings, API Access, select the token and choose Revoke Token. Anything still using it stops working straight away.
AI assistants
The same access is exposed as tools an AI assistant can call: list_scheduled_themes, get_scheduled_theme, list_publish_history.
Shopify Flow
- Publish Theme publishes a theme from a workflow.
- Scheduled Theme Published starts a workflow after a scheduled publish runs.
Other ways to connect
See the settings reference for the integrations this app supports.
