Troubleshooting
The change happened at the wrong time
Schedules use the store timezone in Shopify settings, not the timezone of the person who created them.
- In Shopify admin, check Settings, then the store timezone.
- Open the schedule and read the time next to that timezone.
- Edit the schedule if it is still pending.
You do not set a second timezone inside the app.
The content editor will not open
- If the preview stays blank, open the app in Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.
- The theme must be Online Store 2.0. A theme the editor cannot read can still be published on a schedule. Choose Schedule Theme Publish for that theme.
- Stay on the store's default template. Market-specific templates are marked beta and are not supported.
A schedule's time passed and nothing changed
- Confirm the schedule is still pending, not stopped or archived.
- Confirm the time was in the store timezone, and that it has actually passed.
- Open history. A finished run is listed there, including when it did not apply.
- For a content schedule, open the summary. A schedule with no changes does not change the theme.
If the time has passed and history has no row, email hello@xco.agency with the shop domain and the schedule name.
Show did not hide the banner beforehand
That is expected. Show does not take a visible section down before the start time. Hide it in the theme editor, or add an earlier Hide, then Show when the promotion should start.
I cannot delete a schedule
A schedule that already ran cannot be deleted. Archive it from Home. Pending schedules can be deleted. A repeating schedule that should not run again can be stopped. Stopping keeps the runs that already happened.
Content scheduling asks me to upgrade
Advanced includes one sections-and-blocks schedule. Another content schedule needs Maestro, which is unlimited. Theme publishes are unlimited on both plans.
Preview does not match the colors I scheduled
Preview shows section and block changes only. Theme settings, including colors scheduled on the Theme settings tab, are not in the preview. They still apply when the schedule runs. That tab is marked Beta.
The theme looks unchanged after a content schedule
Check that the schedule targeted the template shoppers actually see, usually the home page, and that the section was not already in the state you scheduled. Then check history for that run.
No Slack or webhook message after a run
Open Integrations and check that the connection shows as active and that the event you expect is selected. schedule.failed and schedule.skipped are separate events from theme.published.
