Frequently asked questions
What is Maestro Products Scheduler?
It schedules product and collection updates so you do not edit the catalog by hand at the moment a launch or a sale starts. You pick a target, an action, and a time. The change runs then, in your store’s timezone.
What can it change?
Media, inventory, pricing, tags, and status, plus titles, descriptions, sales channels, collection sorting, SEO, and metafields. Prices can increase, decrease, or be set, including decimals and rounding. You choose the price, the compare-at price, or both.
A metafield on a schedule can be ordinary text, a date, a link to another item, or a translated value.
How do I install it?
From the Shopify App Store listing. Then open it in the Shopify admin and click Create Schedule. The short path is on the getting started page.
Which plan do I need?
Both plans have a 3-day free trial. There is no free plan.
- Demo is $4.99 a month: 10 product updates, basic actions, individual products, product detail changes, collection changes as listed on the App Store, batches up to 50 products, and standard live chat.
- Advanced is $9.49 a month: unlimited product updates, all actions, products and collections, the timeline, collection assignments, product detail updates, no product limit per schedule, and priority live chat.
In the app, Demo stops at 10 actions on a schedule and 50 selected products. Choosing a collection as the target on Demo shows “Not allowed on Demo plan”. The template gallery also stops a new Demo schedule once 12 schedules are already saved. Repeats are on Advanced only.
Can a schedule repeat?
Yes, on Advanced: daily, weekly, every two weeks, or monthly, with a number of occurrences. You can stop it early. Demo runs once. An hourly repeat is not offered.
Can I undo a change?
Schedule the end at the same time as the start, or duplicate the schedule and reverse it. Reverse works when the action has an opposite (publish and archive, add tag and remove tag). Deleting a product cannot be undone from the app.
Does anything change before the scheduled time?
No. Until that time, the products stay as they are. You can still edit a schedule that has not started. Once an action has started, change the selection by duplicating the schedule instead.
Where do I see what ran?
Timeline shows past and upcoming actions. Schedules is a filterable list. Price compliance shows the lowest price recorded in the last 30 days for discounted variants, under the product and variant names. Shoppers can see that lowest price on the product page, for the variant they are viewing.
Which languages does the admin use?
English, Spanish, French, or German, following the Shopify admin language. The App Store listing is in English.
Who do I contact?
Email hello@xco.agency, or use live chat in the app (standard on Demo, priority on Advanced). See Support.
Can one schedule change the price and then change it back?
Yes. Put the sale price on the start and the normal price on the end. You do not need two products.
The sale started and one product was skipped. What now?
Open that schedule and check the product is still in the selection. A product added after you saved is not included until you add it.
Where do finished schedules go?
Archive them. The active list is for schedules that have not run yet.
Can I copy a schedule?
Yes. Duplicate it, then change the products or the time. The copy does not run until you save it as its own schedule.
Can the end of the schedule remove the tag?
Yes. Add the tag at the start and remove that same tag at the end. You do not need a second product.
Will this change the price as well?
Only if you set a price in the same schedule. Leave price blank if the tag is the only change.
Can I import a schedule from a spreadsheet?
Yes. Use CSV Import on a desktop browser. See Import a schedule from a spreadsheet.
Can I show the lowest price from the last 30 days?
Yes. Add the Lowest Price (30-day) block in the theme editor. See Show the lowest price from the last 30 days.
Is there an API?
Yes, read-only. See What you can do.
