Basic usage
These are the jobs merchants set up first. Each one is a schedule: a target, an action, and a time.
Publish a product at a set time
Use this for a launch or a drop.
- Open Schedule Products and start a schedule. Title it so you can find it later, for example “New arrivals: Friday 9:00”.
- Select the products.
- Choose Set as active.
- Set the date and time, then save.
To take the same products down later, add a second action on that schedule, Archive product or Set as draft, at the end time. Or duplicate the schedule and reverse it.
Unlist product hides a product from the storefront without deleting it. That action is on Advanced.
Run a sale, then put prices back
- Select the products.
- Add a price action for the start. You can Decrease price, Set price, Set decimals, or Round price. Choose whether it applies to the price, the compare-at price, or both.
- Add Add tags if the sale needs a tag, at the same start time or a minute apart.
- Add the end on the same schedule: a price action that restores the old price, and Remove tags, at the end time.
If you would rather keep the end as its own schedule, use Duplicate, then Reverse. Reverse is offered when every action has an opposite. Deleting a product cannot be reversed.
On Demo the price action you can schedule is Round price, plus title, description, tags, status, template, featured image, media, and SEO. Increase, decrease, and set price are on Advanced, which is “all actions”.
Change tags
- Select the products, or on Advanced use Advanced rules so new products that match are included when the schedule runs.
- Choose Add tags or Remove tags.
- Set the time and save.
A recurring tag change (every season, for example) is an Advanced repeat: daily, weekly, every two weeks, or monthly, with a set number of runs. You can stop a repeat before the remaining runs.
Update a collection
- Open Schedule Collections.
- Select the collections. On Demo this step shows “Not allowed on Demo plan”. Use Advanced for collection targets.
- Choose the change. Collection actions include sort order, reordering the products, title, description, SEO, sales channels, and featured image.
- Set the time and save.
To add or remove products from a collection, schedule that from the product side: Add product to collections or Remove product from collections.
Inventory
Choose Increase inventory, Decrease inventory, or Set inventory, and pick the location. These three are marked Beta, and they are on Advanced. You can also edit a variant’s inventory while you prepare a product schedule.
One product, several fields
All-in-One (marked Beta in the menu) updates media, vendor, and product type in one pass. Compare-at price can be left blank so the current compare-at price stays as it is.
Variant price and compare-at price are edited on the product in the schedule. Add variant adds a variant as its own action.
See it before and after
- While you choose Advanced rules, click Preview matching products before you save.
- Timeline shows each run. Open an item for the products it touched.
- When a schedule is finished, Archive it so the active list stays short.
